| Difference Between Diesel Oil EU 590 (Green) and Gasoil
(Red) for your generators: |
1. The density of the Diesel Oil is less than
the density of Gasoil which leads to a better formation of the mixture (better
pulverization) thus better performance of the engine.
2. The kinematic viscosity of the Diesel allows it to flow better in low
temperatures and to ensure a better mixing with the fresh air.
The most important factor is the Sulfur content. Diesel oil contains less
sulfur than Gasoil. We can say that the Diesel is better for the environment
and for the engine; the sulfur(S) and the oxygen (O2) combine together to form
SO3 which combine with the water (H2O) to form the sulfuric acid (H2SO4). The
sulfuric acid attacks the segments of the pistons as well as the cylinders and
corrodes them which cause the deterioration of the engine and therefore
problems occur. The sulfuric acid contributes to the formation of acid rain. It
attacks the lubrication oil and causes its worsening.
The Cetane index: this index determines how easily the liquid will burn in the
cylinder due to the compression of the piston. The bigger this number is, the
better its ability to burn and thus to produce energy or work.
Finally we can say that the impurity in the gasoil (sediments, carbon
residue, sodium, potassium, lead, vanadium, calcium, zinc and ash), contribute
in the formation of coke and calamine on the injectors and later on, the
obstruction of the injectors.

| A leader in the market, Phoenicia Oil Company owns and
operates 2 major LPG bottling plants. The first bottling plant is located in
Dora near Beirut, with a capacity of 50 MT a day and the second one is located
in Taanayel in the Bekaa Valley. LPG is stored in bullet tanks at the sea
terminal in Dora and is dispatched all over Lebanon in bulk through a fleet of
tank trucks or in pressurized 10 kgs cylinders. Our fleet of trucks delivers
also propane gas in bulk to hotels, hospitals and industries.
