MEDCO S.A.L deploys the first Electric Vehicle Chargers in Lebanon

MEDCO SAL, the leading and centennial Lebanese petroleum company announced today, the launch of the FIRST Electric Vehicle chargers in the country, at a press event held at the MEDCO Beirut Central District service station, under the patronage of his Excellency the Minister of Energy & Water Mr. Cesar Abi Khalil with the presence of major Car Importers, corporate guests, environmentalists & journalists.
e-medco is the first electric vehicle charger in Lebanon introduced by MEDCO and deployed in MEDCO BCD, Dora, Chiyah and Unesco stations. The EV chargers are suitable for all car models and brands.
e-medco is another proof that innovation is becoming a tradition in MEDCO’s DNA, proactively anticipating the Consumers’ highest expectations.
With more than 200 service stations accross Lebanon, MEDCO drives eco-friendliness to the next level.
His Excellency Mr. Cesar Abi Khalil, Minister of Energy & Water congratulated MEDCO for such an initiative saying that EV chargers are the next necessity adopted by MEDCO since electric vehicles are more environmentally friendly than regular cars especially that two years from now, Lebanon will be producing electricity through gas which is 27 times less polluting.
